The Role

Our banking and financial services group is looking for a Senior Consulting Manager, Data Analyst to join our journey. We’re looking for someone who excels in data analysis, including ETL and SQL queries.

We’re looking for Senior Consulting Managers who can deliver within Cognizant’s Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Senior Consultant, this means partnering with clients and project stakeholders, and colleagues. Responsibilities

· Based on experience, support or own and manage one or more project workstream(s), including deliverables, while adhering to budget, timelines, and client engagement guidelines;

· Partner with clients and project stakeholders and apply technical and domain expertise to solve core client business challenges or inefficiencies; this may include leading and managing small solutioning teams to accomplish the above

· Understanding various financial risk and compliance related data associated with the business line and various upstream/downstream IT systems.

· Performing data gap analysis, systems, processes, and procedures as required for the project.

· Documenting functional, data mapping, reporting logic and other requirements.

· Analyze legacy AFS bank data, design and execute a comprehensive data migration strategy to ACBS, ensuring data integrity.

· Develop detailed Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) and utilize SQL for ETL processes.

· Perform rigorous data quality checks and collaborate with development teams to ensure a successful migration.

· Design and execute the complete data migration strategy, ensuring data integrity and accuracy throughout the process.

· Develop a comprehensive Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) document, detailing how all relevant AFS data fields will be transformed and mapped to corresponding ACBS fields.

· Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).

· Perform rigorous data quality checks and validation, reconciling data between AFS and ACBS.

· Collaborate effectively with the development team to implement the data migration plan, addressing any data-related issues.

· Document data migration processes, including the STTM.

· Develop practice capabilities and brand recognition by exercising thought leadership, establishing a consultative presence within Cognizant and the wider consulting community, and participating in professional organizations;

Qualifications

  • 10 + years working in technology, consulting, professional services, or solution development within the banking/financial services industry
  • Proven experience in data analysis, ETL, and SQL queries
  • Experience working with data migration projects, especially when related to data integrity and accuracy.
  • Experience working in agile projects, using Jira, creating user stories, and overall knowledge of the agile framework.

· Onsite Requirements: 3 days onsite at client location in San Jose, CA.

Work Authorization

· Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.)

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $134,000 - $180,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
