Job summary

Appian is seeking a senior technical delivery consultant to lead complex automation projects on the Appian platform. You will drive the full lifecycle, from design to deployment, while guiding a team of junior consultants and ensuring customer success.

You will architect integrations with REST, SOAP, and JDBC, and design production-grade relational data models using SQL. The role requires collaboration in cross-functional, Agile teams to rapidly deliver impactful capabilities and grow client

Qualifications

  • Bachelor level degree in CS, Engineering, IS, Math, or related technical field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on software development or technical implementation consulting.
  • Leadership experience mentoring small teams post-sale software implementations.
  • Foundational understanding of OOP, database design and SQL.
  • Willingness to travel 20% or less annually.
  • Active government clearance TS/SCI or higher is required for this opening and willingness to work in a SCIF environment.

What You’ll Do

Basic Qualifications
  • Degree: Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of hands‑on experience in software development or technical implementation consulting.
  • Leadership: Proven passion for mentoring others and experience leading small teams through post‑sale software implementations.
  • Core Engineering: Foundational understanding of Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP), database design, and SQL (queries, joins, views).
  • Travel: Willingness to travel 20% or less annually to support customer engagements.
  • An Active Government Clearance (TS/SCI or higher, without any limitations) is required for this opening, and willingness to work in a SCIF environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with modern cloud frameworks and infrastructure, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, or Elastic Containers.
  • Knowledge of software testing practices (Test-Driven Development, automated test suites) and modern AI/Machine Learning applications.

The base salary range provided represents a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range at the time of posting. In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for a government clearance differential. Actual compensation will be dependent on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant work experience, qualifications, internal peer equity, and market and business conditions that exist when extending an offer. A discretionary bonus may be awarded in recognition of individual and company performance.

Base Salary Range

$100,000—$200,000 USD

Pay and benefits are subject to change at any time, consistent with the terms of any applicable compensation, commission, bonus, or benefit plans.
