Senior Consultant Strategic Collaboratives - Registered Nurse (perinatal experience and up to 75% travel required)

What you will be doing:

The Strategic Collaboratives Senior Consultant works collaboratively within a team of highly qualified consultants to deliver performance improvement to healthcare systems. The role of the Strategic Collaboratives Senior Consultant is to actively lead and participate in engagement work streams to ensure all members achieve collaborative performance goals. Responsibilities include determining client needs; interpreting data analyses, forming initial recommendations, and developing potential solutions for consideration; tracking member performance and engagement data for participating organizations; facilitating knowledge and identification of barriers to success in the collaborative; developing deliverables and presentation materials for various audiences.

The Strategic Collaboratives Senior Consultant participates in all aspects of an engagement including identifying issues; forming hypotheses; planning, overseeing, and conducting analytics; developing recommendations and solutions for consideration; synthesizing information into cohesive presentations for various audiences and helping to implement change.

Through this role, the Strategic Collaboratives Senior Consultant drives success by working with the enrolled collaborative Member executives and quality leaders, performance improvement teams, and other key staff across Premier.

The Senior Consultant is required to also participate in Premier internal activities including practice development, required and approved educational opportunities throughout the year and learning the various technologies Premier offers to its clients. Additionally, the Strategic Collaboratives Senior Consultant should:

  • Create value through meaningful client interactions, data analytics and insights, and team participation in the collaboratives.
  • Create value for Collaboratives through meaningful participation in practice-related activities aimed at growing and enriching the Strategic Collaboratives as a whole. Motivated and results-driven; pushes self for results on commitments/deadlines; takes ownership and accountability for own work; willing to see issues through to resolution.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibility #1– 85%

  • Collaborate and support delivery of accessible and helpful forums for sharing best practices. This includes providing input to collaborative activities such as the collaborative National Meetings, educational sessions, and the use of the PINC AI platform.
  • Obtain data, execute/direct/oversee analyses, initiate interpretations, and conclusions, and prepare verbal and graphic presentations, using methods that are professionally sound and efficient relative to project objectives and conform to standards. Perform quality assurance on assigned collaborative deliverables.
  • Contribute content and share best practices with members.
  • Assist in determining Member needs by effectively participating in Member discussions and utilizing various tools and analytical methods.
  • Summarize analytical findings in a coherent manner and draw insight from observations, interviews, and data analyses. Develop accurate conclusions from findings. Draft recommendations and potential solutions for collaborative leadership review.
  • Effectively execute on project plans in accordance with collaborative contracts and overall Member satisfaction.
  • Develop presentations and deliverables for Members that communicate areas for improvement and outcomes.
  • Participate in project management related activities as assigned regarding their work stream.
  • Participate in risk and issue identification and mitigation along with the project leadership team.

Responsibility #2 – 5%

  • Learn Premier-based technologies and services.

Responsibility #3 – 5%

  • Actively listen for market opportunities on current engagements and collaborative networks and communicate potential leads to managers.
  • Contribute to collaborative-related thought leadership opportunities (e.g., contributing to the writing of blogs, poster/presentations for industry events).
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability.

Responsibility #4 – 5%

  • Complete all required training requirements on an annual basis.


Required Qualifications

Work Experience:

Years of Applicable Experience - 4 or more years

Education:

RN: Nursing (Required)

Preferred Qualifications

Skills:

  • Coordinate and deliver effective presentations (verbal and written) to Members to communicate project outcomes, improvement recommendations, and strategy.
  • Ability to conduct analyses and oversee and mentor others in the delivery and production of client deliverables.
  • Ability to relate to Members and team members in an effective and collaborative manner.
  • Ability to lead work groups to successful outcomes.

Experience:

  • Experience in performance/quality improvement, implementation of improvement initiatives, healthcare-related field, hands-on patient experience, working with clinical comparative data.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree; RN/clinical license.

This is a remote position with up to 75% travel.

Working Conditions: Remote. Travel Requirements: Travel 41-60% within the US. Physical Demands: Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves remaining stationary most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if movement is required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Premier’s compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. Premier’s internal salary range for this role is $80,000 - $148,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier utilizes a wide-range salary structure to allow base salary flexibility within our ranges.
