Position Overview
SNHA, a Woolpert company, is an award‑winning global architectural practice focused on performance‑driven, highly complex facilities for some of the world’s largest technology clients. It is based in Chicago and London with an expanding team of local and remote members.
We are seeking a Senior Consultant‑Program & Product Development Design Manager to join the Mission Critical Program & Product Development (PPD) team. The role will be based in Chicago, IL/New York City, NY/Pittsburgh, PA and will support full‑time in‑person/hybrid and remote arrangements. The position requires existing work authorization; no visa sponsorship will be provided.
What You Will Do
- Lead strategy development around decarbonizing data center equipment, systems, buildings, and campuses, and communicate solutions to clients.
- Enhance existing client relationships and identify new project opportunities within the Mission Critical client base for decarbonization strategies, collaborating with building and product design teams.
- Represent SNHA and Woolpert as an industry leader in decarbonization strategy and mass timber building design, construction, and supply chains with new and existing clients.
- Manage project teams of various scales and expertise to deliver the above.
What You Will Bring
- Advanced degree in Architecture or Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience on complex projects, focused on productization, decarbonization, and/or mass timber.
- Strong knowledge of architectural/engineering detailing and systems, including mass timber detailing and prototyping.
- Knowledge of construction methods, processes, and building codes.
- Knowledge of mass timber supply chain and industry standards, and willingness to learn new supply chains and cultivate industry connections.
- Experience developing detailed drawing packages.
- Strategic design and leadership skills, including leading client workshops.
- Excellent collaboration, written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign is an asset, as well as familiarity with Google Docs/Sheets/Slides, Gemini/Copilot, and carbon‑accounting software such as OneClickLCA, Tally, c.scale, EC3.

Our projects are located throughout North America and some travel is anticipated.
Base pay may vary based on experience. Pay range: $139,200 – $174,000 USD.
