The Role – What You’ll Do
You will be part of a cross-cultural global team working on a variety of business consulting engagements in Capital Markets, with a focus on OTC derivatives and regulatory reporting. You will be a part of world class team of industry practitioners, subject matter experts, functional consultants and transformation leaders working with various financial institutions.
You will take up a range of roles in the areas of requirements management, process consulting, business analysis, applied AI, tech strategy, program and change management. You will analyze problems and come up with solutions, often creative and out-of-the-box, apply business consulting frameworks and methodologies to address business problems, collaborate with client stakeholders, technology delivery teams and other vendors and be responsible for the delivery of business results to clients.
Here are some engagements our OTC derivatives / reg reporting consultants are working on:
- Working on OTC derivatives regulatory reporting, transaction reporting programs
- Working on upcoming and existing regulations like EMIR, MiFiD, T+1, DORA etc.
- Defining trading platform requirements, persona journeys and experiences
- Conducting strategic assessments to define future state functional / technical architecture to meet strategic client objectives leveraging Design Thinking, Service Blueprinting approach
- Digitalization / transformation / integration of trading platforms covering end to end trade lifecycle
- Working on traditional and bespoke reporting requirements
- Working with operations teams to understand the change requirements and enabling development team for delivery
- Reimage Operations Users Experience to create an Intelligent Ops dashboard (with KPIs, Real-time notifications, SLAs etc.) with direct access to ops systems
Responsibilities
- Closely work with business partners to analyse & refine the regulatory requirements given by federal authorities & DTCC
- Perform analysis of the requirements to identify changes / enhancements needed and prepare detailed BRD & FRD for technology delivery teams
- Able to perform data analysis to understand the impact of regulatory changes
- Work closely with the delivery teams to ensure successful delivery of requirements, translate and simplify the business and functional requirements for the tech/dev teams
- Write user stories in JIRA based on the business requirements
- Perform feasibility analysis, define project scope, recommend alternative solutions, project strategy, and deliverable prioritization
Basic Qualifications
- Engineering or related technology degree or graduate
- Prior work experience of 7 years either in management consulting or directly working on advisory business, technology or operational change initiatives in Capital Markets industry focused on OTC Derivatives incl. regulations such as Dodd Frank, MiFID, EMIR and similar regulations in other geographies
- Demonstrated ability in defining, mobilizing, and delivering complex regulatory change programs in Capital Markets industry
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills with ability to build relationships at senior management and CXO levels
- Experience of collaborating with teams, comprising both IT and business specialists

Essential Qualifications / Skills
- Prior experience in regulatory projects, preferably in Transaction Reporting space, e.g. CFTC/Dodd Frank, ESMA/EMIR, MIFID
- Strong understanding and working knowledge in Financial Derivative Products covering both ETD and OTC
- Techno-functional business analysis skillset
- Experience of working in agile delivery setup
- Experience of working on JIRA tools for requirement gathering and tech analysis details
- Good knowledge of core MS Office products (Word, Excel, Project, Visio)
- Must be able to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, setting appropriate priorities without close supervision
- Must be pro-active, enthusiastic, flexible, results driven and provide attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written; must be able to convey ideas, concerns, opinions and provide appropriate reporting across differing levels of management, senior leadership and at steering/governance
- Experience in delivering projects using both Waterfall and Lean Agile methodologies
- Ability and willingness to work as part of a cross-cultural team including flexibility to support multiple time zones when necessary
- Experience with Python / OOP programming language is highly desirable to perform day to day data analysis work at code level
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large or complex programs of work
