Senior Consultant, OpenShift Virtualization (CNV)

Remote (supporting California based client, PST Time zone)

1099 Hourly Contract -

No Clearance Required

Contract Duration: 500 hours (possible extension)

About The Job

Our client is seeking a Senior-level OpenShift Virtualization Consultant to join remotely in the U.S. In this role, you will specialize in designing and developing automated container platforms, deployment pipelines, and cloud-ready application architectures.

Job Duties:

1. Implement automated, containerized cloud application platform solutions focusing on infrastructure concerns such as networking, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, high availability, and system resilience.
2. Learn new technologies rapidly, including container orchestration, container registries, container build strategies, cloud storage, and software-defined networks.

Requirements:

1. Experience leading successful modern cloud platform consulting engagements.
2. Broad and deep technical experience with VMware ESXi software, including vCenter and VM lifecycle operations using VMware tools.
3. Knowledge of logging and alerting functions for SRE operations from VMware and their integration with systems like Splunk.
4. Expertise with VMware VM foundational technologies for networks ([S/DV]Switches/NSX).
5. Expertise with VMware VM foundational technologies for storage (Datastores, vSAN, vVols).
6. Knowledge of third-party tools such as Aria/vRealize Suite, SRM, backup software, and performance tools.
7. Experience with technologies including OpenStack, Red Hat Virtualization, Microsoft Hyper-V, AWS, and Azure is a plus.
8. Experience across vertical industry areas.
9. Proven track record working as a strategic advisor to senior IT and business executives.
10. Practical experience working in agile, scrum, and DevOps teams.
11. Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
12. Degree in computer science or a related technical discipline.
