Salary Range: $95,000 – $125,000

Location: Hybrid or remote (based upon applicant's location) in any of the following locations: Greater Boston, Plymouth Meeting, PA, Greater Los Angeles, Fairfax, VA, or Greater Chicago

Job Overview

Devonshire Recruiting & Consulting Partners is seeking a Senior Noise & Vibration Consultant to join a leading company specializing in acoustics, vibration, audiovisual, and low-voltage systems design. This role can be based out of the firm's offices in the Northeast or on the West Coast, with additional flexibility considered for the right candidate in a different location.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental noise and vibration measurements across a range of project types.


• Process field data and build predictive models to support design, permitting, and mitigation recommendations.


• Draft clear, well-supported technical reports for client and agency review.


• Represent the firm at client meetings and public outreach sessions, communicating study findings to technical and non-technical audiences alike.


• Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of senior consultants on environmental, data center, science & biotech, industrial, healthcare, and education projects.

Required Qualifications

• Prior professional experience in environmental noise work.


• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a physical science, with coursework or specialized experience in vibration and/or acoustics, or equivalent hands-on experience.


• Exposure to consulting workflows and project management fundamentals.


• Familiarity with acoustic or vibration measurement instrumentation and associated data processing and analysis.


• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.


• Self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously independently and as part of a team.


• Open to travel for fieldwork, including occasional evening or weekend site visits.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with acoustic modeling software such as CadnaA is a plus.


• Experience working within defined project budgets and timelines.


• Related to or part of professional societies such as ASA, INCE, etc.
