The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven track record of successful implementations, a strong understanding of quality assurance best practices, previous experience developing best in class processes and systems (principles, roadmaps, guidelines, models, patterns, and practices) and an aptitude for continuous learning. The ideal candidate has the ability to communicate effectively across a variety of business and technical teams. This person should also be comfortable working in a highly collaborative project/program team environment while supporting clients as a trusted advisor.

Responsibilities/Activities
  • Responsible for designing, documenting, and supporting the implementation of client solutions.

  • Develop an understanding of client business requirements with a depth of knowledge to conceptualize designs and ensure projects meet those requirements.

  • Create solutions that include re-platforming existing technologies or implementing cloud-based technologies to solve client business challenges.

  • Manage cross functional teams that may include business analysts and engineers, on a wide range of technology projects, including software development, package installation and infrastructure upgrades and changes.

  • Lead business and technology groups at the client on technology selection and support client efforts to make 'build or buy' decisions.

  • Define system requirements to identify functions and relationships on any system implementation initiatives.

  • Determines and documents how systems will fulfill its performance, reliability, and security requirements.

  • Understanding of security best practices and projects that implement an information security strategy that may include governance, risk, and compliance objectives.

  • Determines and documents the engineering decisions that constrain the design and implementation of a system, such as selection of technology, design method and programming language.

  • Work in multiple technical areas, including processes, software, data, network, and systems.

  • Consulting mindset and ownership mentality with motivation to work and drive toward client solutions and needs.

  • Ability to articulate business case of your project.

  • Opportunities to engage with internal Plaster Group account team and management activities.

  • Continually learns new tools and technologies to add value and deliver on client objectives.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or related field.
  • Must be physically located in the Greater Seattle area.
  • 10+ years of experience in the Information Technology field.
  • Deep understanding of every phase of Software Development Life Cycle as well as Project Lifecycles, Waterfall, and Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to manage client expectations and deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to appropriately prioritize and plan complex work for self and a small team in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong critical thinker with problem solving aptitude, takes initiative, and achieves results.
  • Experienced team player with experience leading and collaborating cross functional organizations to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
  • Excellent follow-through, attention to detail, and driven to produce a quality product.
  • Understanding of information security principles of defense in depth, layered protection, and security program management, a plus.
  • Experience creating deliverables such as roadmaps, models, process flows preferred.
  • Criminal background check required for all employees.
Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is from $140,000 - $170,000 depending on overall skillset and experience.
