Job summary

Qvest US seeks a Senior Consultant specialized in Data & Analytics to bridge business needs with technical solutions. You will design and optimize data pipelines, implement analytics environments, and guide client teams through project phases.

The role requires hands-on SQL and cloud data warehouses, experience with BigQuery, Looker, Tableau/Power BI, and strong communication to translate complex problems into actionable plans.

Qualifications

• 3+ years PM/SDLC experience in data projects
• 5+ years in consulting or data-focused roles with SQL across platforms
• Experience with client-facing activities such as requirements gathering and meetings
• Hands-on data solutions using BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow and Looker
• Experience designing relational databases and data warehouses

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on development by coding in SQL and Python, creating data visualizations in Tableau/Power BI, and designing data models in Snowflake/Databricks
• Design, deploy, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines and analytics environments using BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Looker
• Participate on project teams through all core project phases from setup to deployment
• Be the expert in client meetings such as stakeholder interviews & workshops
• Translate complex business challenges into actionable plans with clear communication
• Proactively identify risks and mitigation strategies
• Contribute to internal growth initiatives including mentorship and process improvements

Who We're Seeking

Qvest is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant specialized in Data & Analytics to support our enterprise data architecture. In this role, you will ensure seamlessly integrated, high-quality data across systems and business units. We are looking for a hands-on technical data consultant who can successfully work across projects, teams, and stakeholders.

What You'll Do

• Perform hands-on development by coding in SQL and occasionally Python, creating data visualizations in Tableau, Power BI, or similar, and designing data models in platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks

• Design, deploy, and continuously optimize end-to-end data pipelines and analytical environments using BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Looker

• Participate on project teams through all core project phases, including project setup, requirements gathering, design, development, testing and deployment

• Be the expert in various client meetings such as stakeholder interviews & workshops

• Understand, develop and articulate complex business challenges into actionable plans with clear and concise communication

• Proactively identify risks, issues and provide mitigation strategies

• Contribute to internal growth initiatives including mentorship, recruitment, strategy and/or methodology enhancement

What You'll Bring

• Eagerness to participate in a best-in-class data practice

• Hands-on experience building, managing, and optimizing enterprise data solutions using BigQuery, Google Cloud Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and Looker

• 3+ years Project Management, Process, Implementation, and SDLC experience working closely with data professionals in an Agile environment

• Experience with client-facing activities such as requirements gathering, meeting facilitation & presentation creation, and deliverable review/approval sessions

• 5+ years in a consulting role or a data-focused role and strong experience with SQL in particular in platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Teradata, Redshift, BigQuery, MS SQL Server or similar

• Experience designing and building relational database and/or data warehouses

• Hands-on experience with business driven / self-service BI, using tools similar to Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, etc.

• A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Media & Entertainment and/or Consumer Products industries

• Experience at a large consulting firm (e.g., Accenture, Deloitte, EY, CapGemini, PWC)

• Cloud computing experience, whether with AWS or other vendors

• Ability to automate data-related tasks using scripts and programming languages

• Ability to profile, explore, and analyze data to identify common data patterns

• Ability to present data solutions to business stakeholders with clear business acumen

• Familiarity with dbt (https://getdbt.com)
