Responsibilities

• Lead and support the delivery of privacy engagements across service areas including privacy program assessments, gap analyses, data inventory and mapping, data subject rights programs, third-party risk management, and privacy policy development.
• Assist in the configuration and implementation of privacy management platforms (OneTrust, TrustArc, Ketch, Osano, Truyo) to support client-facing privacy program solutions, including CMPs, DSAR workflows, and vendor risk management portals.
• Prepare and review client deliverables including strategic memos, privacy assessments, presentations, policy documents, gap analysis reports, and regulatory updates.
• Monitor and interpret developments across federal and state privacy law and applicable international frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, NIST) and advise clients accordingly.
• Manage workstreams and junior team members on engagements, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Contribute to business development activities including proposal development, client presentations, and thought leadership.
• Deliver high-quality work focused on client needs and data stewardship.

About The Role

We provide our clients with a comprehensive view of cybersecurity and privacy consulting that leverages our integrated suite of services, including privacy program development, regulatory compliance, data protection assessments, incident response, and cyber risk management across all major markets around the world.

We are currently looking for a driven Senior Consultant to join our Privacy team within the Cybersecurity practice. This person will support and lead client engagements across a broad range of privacy consulting services, including privacy program development, regulatory compliance, data governance, privacy risk assessments, policy development, and the implementation of privacy management technologies. Given the diverse and evolving nature of privacy work, we are looking for a well-rounded privacy professional who brings both subject matter depth and client-facing experience, with the ability to manage workstreams, contribute to proposals, and help grow the practice.

What You’ll Do

In this role, the Senior Consultant will develop a thorough understanding of clients’ objectives, regulatory obligations, and risk posture to help design and execute privacy strategies. Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following:

• Lead and support the delivery of privacy engagements across service areas including privacy program assessments, gap analyses, data inventory and mapping, data subject rights programs, third-party risk management, and privacy policy development;
• Assist in the configuration and implementation of privacy management platforms (e.g., OneTrust, TrustArc, Ketch, Osano, Truyo) to support client-facing privacy program solutions, including Consent Management Platforms (CMP), Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) workflows, and vendor risk management portals;
• Prepare and review a variety of client deliverables including strategic memos, privacy assessments, presentations, policy and procedure documents, gap analysis reports, and regulatory compliance updates;
• Monitor and interpret developments across federal and state privacy law and applicable international frameworks, including GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and emerging regulations, and advise clients accordingly;
• Manage workstreams and junior team members on engagements, ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with client objectives;
• Contribute to business development activities including proposal development, client presentations, and thought leadership;
• Deliver high-quality work focused on client needs and demonstrate a high level of integrity in managing firm and client data responsibly.

What You Will Need To Succeed

Basic Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in data privacy consulting, in-house privacy, or a related field;
• Demonstrated knowledge of major privacy regulations and frameworks, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA, and NIST Privacy Framework;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing client-facing deliverables;
• Ability to travel to FTI offices and client sites as needed; and
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Cybersecurity, or a related field;
• Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US, CIPP/E) or equivalent privacy certification;
• Experience with privacy management platforms such as OneTrust, Ketch, TrustArc, Osano, or Truyo;
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously in a fast-paced environment;
• Experience supporting or leading privacy program implementations, including data inventory and mapping, DSAR workflows, and consent management; and
• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and their intersection with privacy compliance is a plus.

Compensation

Minimum Pay: $109,000

Maximum Pay: $164,500

Compensation Disclosure: The compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role. Actual compensation is determined based on a wide array of relevant factors including market considerations, business needs, and an individual’s location, skills, level of experience, and qualifications.
