ERM seeks a Senior Consultant, Archaeologist to join our Cultural Resources Services team in a role ideally based in Austin, Dallas, or Houston. You will lead fieldwork, guide evaluations, and ensure regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle at a global sustainability consultancy.

Required: BA/BS in Anthropology/Archaeology with 3–4 years paid experience; Gulf Coast archaeology knowledge; strong documentation and communication skills; willing to travel ~70% of the time; MS Office

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or closely related field plus 3–4 years of related paid experience.
• Graduate degree in archaeology/anthropology preferred; Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead field investigations and pedestrian Phase I/II surveys.
• Evaluate sites for eligibility for National/State Registers.
• Prepare defensible, regulator-ready findings and reports.
• Maintain daily field logs and safety protocols.

This full-time, salary-based role is ideally based out of Austin, Dallas, or Houston, supporting projects across the region.
