Job summary

SLR International in Anchorage seeks a Senior Consultant – Air Quality to lead and grow our Alaska air quality practice. You will manage complex projects, develop client relationships, and provide regulatory guidance across multiple airsheds and facilities. The role requires 10–15+ years in air quality, strong knowledge of Title V/PSD/NSR, and proven project leadership.

Local industry experience in oil, mining, utilities, or infrastructure is valued. U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related field.
  • 10–15+ years of air quality experience in consulting, regulatory, or industry.
  • Knowledge of Title V, PSD/NSR, NSPS, NESHAP, and GHG.
  • Experience with air quality permitting, monitoring, emissions inventories, dispersion modeling, or regulatory analysis.
  • Strong proposal, reporting, and client communication skills.

We are Making Sustainability Happen. SLR is seeking an experienced **Senior Consultant – Air Quality** to join our growing Alaska operation in Anchorage. We are looking for experienced Air Quality professionals with a range of technical backgrounds, including air quality permitting, regulatory compliance, emissions, monitoring, modeling, environmental programs, and project management.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced environmental professional who wants to take on a senior technical and project leadership role while continuing to develop client relationships and contribute to the growth of SLR's Air Quality practice in Alaska.The successful candidate will work closely with clients, regulators, and multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality environmental solutions. Depending on experience and technical background, the role may include project management, technical leadership, regulatory consulting, client development, and mentoring of junior and mid-level staff.As SLR continues to expand its presence and capabilities in Alaska, the Senior Consultant will have an important role in supporting and growing our project portfolio.
