Job summary

Unanet's AEC Professional Services team seeks a Senior Consultant to act as trusted advisor and hands-on solution expert for architecture and engineering clients. You will lead multiple ERP implementations from discovery through go-live, aligning Unanet ERP with accounting, project management, and business processes.

You will guide discovery, data migration, configuration, training, testing, and go-live using Unanet's milestone-based methodology, while collaborating with clients and mentoring

Qualifications

• 5+ years ERP implementation or software consulting experience.
• Experience supporting architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) firms or project-based organizations.
• Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Excel to analyze, manipulate, and validate large data sets.
• Proven ability to document complex business requirements and translate them into actionable solution recommendations.
• Experience leading large, complex client implementations while serving as a trusted advisor.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions translating business processes into scalable Unanet ERP solutions (invoicing, revenue recognition, labor costing, project accounting).
• Lead full implementation lifecycle: requirements, data migration, training, testing, go-live using milestone-based methodology.

Job description

As a Senior Consultant on Unanet's AEC Professional Services team, you will serve as a trusted advisor and hands‑on solution expert to architecture and engineering clients. You will lead multiple implementations of varying complexity across the full lifecycle, from discovery through go‑live, aligning Unanet's ERP software with each client's business processes, accounting requirements, and project management needs. Through implementation, training, and adoption support, you will help clients achieve successful outcomes and build a solution that can scale with their evolving business.

What You'll Do

• Lead discovery sessions and translate clients' business processes, accounting policies, and operational requirements into scalable Unanet ERP solutions, including invoicing, revenue recognition, labor costing, project accounting, cost pools, and overhead allocations
• Leverage AI-powered tools and internal automations to improve the efficiency and quality of data migration, system configuration, and client onboarding activities
• Lead clients through the full implementation lifecycle, including requirements gathering, configuration, data migration, training, testing, and go-live, using Unanet's milestone‑based implementation methodology
• Partner with clients during their first financial close cycle to support reconciliation activities, strengthen process consistency, and build confidence in month‑end procedures and controls
• Lead client training and change management activities to drive adoption, process alignment, and successful business outcomes
• Partner with project managers to deliver engagements on schedule, within budget, and aligned with client objectives while managing multiple concurrent implementations
• Mentor less experienced consultants, particularly on complex or multi‑resource implementations, and contribute to the continuous improvement of Professional Services methodologies and best practices
• Maintain expertise in Unanet capabilities and emerging product functionality to provide trusted advisory guidance to clients
• Travel up to 30% (as needed) to support client engagements

Your First 90 Days

In your first 30 days, you'll complete onboarding, attend product training sessions and webinars, and begin building your expertise through Unanet's Help Center and Learning Management System (LMS). You'll develop a personalized training plan with your manager and shadow at least two (2) client implementations to gain firsthand experience with our implementation methodology and client engagements.

In your first 60 days, you'll continue progressing through your training plan while participating in additional implementation engagements alongside experienced consultants. Through hands‑on practice using recorded resources and a demo environment, you'll become proficient in Unanet Time & Expense and begin contributing to client implementation activities under the guidance of senior team members.

In your first 90 days, you'll expand your expertise in Unanet Financials, take ownership of portions of live client implementations, and confidently support customers through key implementation milestones. By the end of your first 90 days, you'll be making meaningful contributions to client engagements while achieving a 25% billable utilization target.

Who You Are

• 5+ years of ERP implementation or software consulting experience
• Experience supporting architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) firms or implementing ERP solutions for project‑based organizations
• Experience with accounting systems, project management processes, and/or practical accounting experience
• Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Excel to analyze, manipulate, and validate large data sets
• Proven ability to understand and document complex business requirements and translate them into actionable solution recommendations
• Experience leading large, complex client implementations while serving as a trusted advisor and champion of implementation best practices
• Comfortable leveraging AI‑powered productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or similar technologies) to improve efficiency, documentation, analysis, and client delivery

Your Differentiators

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• Strong accounting foundation with practical experience in general ledger, revenue recognition, cost accounting, project accounting, and financial reporting

The salary range for this opportunity is $88,800 - 116,000 per year. You will be eligible for employee equity as well as discretionary bonus compensation, subject to plans that may be in effect from time to time.
