Job summary

Urban Science in Detroit, MI is seeking a Sr. Consultant to deliver client services on an account team, with a strong emphasis on client handling and relationship building.

This position is responsible for the delivery of client services on an account team. The Sr. Consultant is focused on both technical & client handling skills, with a heavier focus on client handling and relationship building.

  • Serves as primary owner of dealer group initiatives, ensuring consistent execution and accountability acrossassigned groups
  • Acts as central point of contact for assigned dealer groups
  • Builds deep understanding of national dealer group landscape to inform engagement strategy
  • Communicates dealer group performance, risks, and needs to leadership to inform decision-making
  • Provides thought leadership on dealer group reporting to enhance visibility, consistency, and actionability
  • Leads planning and execution of dealer events (tours, webinars) with clear timelines, milestones, and accountability
  • Partners with OEM field staff focused team members for channel-specific events to ensure alignment with broader field strategy

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plans, organizes, develops, and delivers client-requested reports, deliverables, and projects on time, adhering to client requested specifications.
  • Designs, creates, and manages client databases, utilizing Urban Science proprietary software, ensuring accurate and high-quality data.
  • Assists management in creating estimates and proposals for clients to better understand the proposal process.
  • Serves as a contact for, and develops relationships with, the client to effectively respond to client requests and inquiries in a timely manner and help improve client satisfaction.
  • Acquires and maintains a thorough understanding of client data for assigned projects to properly create client deliverables.
  • Tracks, processes, analyzes and verifies data to improve accuracy and quality.
  • Assume responsibility for accurate and high-quality data being utilized on assigned projects.
  • Accurately performs application coding and testing functions associated with the development of custom client software.
  • Use technical skills to accurately update and maintain Urban Science internal software systems.
  • Adheres to quality control standards for Urban Science and client organizations.
  • Coordinates with individuals or teams to complete analyses, tasks, and projects on time and with high quality.
  • Attends project meetings and participates in presenting project status updates to client representatives or internal management to clearly communicate project status, conclusions, and results.
  • Proactively communicates with management to provide updates and report issues in a timely manner.
  • Actively works with manager to understand and implement solutions to improve NPS (client satisfaction).
  • Partners with internal teams to ensure that software is properly installed, set up and functioning at established quality levels.
  • Actively supports and participates in required Urban Science training programs to achieve targeted development objectives.
  • Works with manager in completing annual goal setting and performance review promptly.
  • Works with manager to prioritize other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

In preparation of possible future supervisory responsibilities, this person may be called upon to do the following for assigned staff:

  • Set objectives
  • Participate in performance appraisals
  • Assign and prioritize work
  • Approve timesheets
  • Establish and maintain quality, quantity, and timeliness of work
  • Oversee training
  • Coach, mentor, manage, and motivate
