Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced infrastructure inspector to conduct thorough assessments of public works projects in New Jersey. You will document findings with photos and reports for clients and regulators, ensuring compliance with design specifications, codes, and safety standards.

You will collaborate with engineers and project managers, monitor contractor performance, and provide clear updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of inspection experience on public infrastructure projects.
• NICET Level III certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, and regulations.

• Conduct thorough inspections of public projects, including roads, bridges, utilities, and other infrastructure, to ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and regulations.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of inspection findings, including photographs, reports, and other relevant documentation. Prepare inspection reports for clients and regulatory authorities as needed.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to identify and address construction and design issues promptly, ensuring the quality and safety of the project.
• Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure they adhere to project plans, specifications, and safety protocols, taking appropriate actions to address non-compliance.
• Effectively communicate with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, engineers, and regulatory agencies. Provide clear and concise updates on project progress, issues, and resolutions.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in inspecting public infrastructure projects, such as roads, bridges, and utilities, is required.
• NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) Level III certification in a related field is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards, including relevant codes and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with project stakeholders and prepare detailed inspection reports.
