Job summary

Garney Construction is seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations in Colorado. You will establish site safety, develop look-ahead schedules, monitor CPM and supervise all phases of construction, coordinating with project management and reviewing shop drawings.

You will manage costs, craft feedback, RFI's, change orders, and supplier relations to ensure on-budget, on-time delivery. You will hire and train craftsmen and foremen, oversee layout and field engineers, and ensure quality control

Qualifications

• 8+ years heavy construction experience with 3+ years in superintendent role for similar work.
• Knowledgeable in water, wastewater, and pipeline construction.
• Must be a self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to identify and resolve any problems that may arise.
• Strong experience in leadership, safety, and planning.
• Competent Person.
• Can Do Attitude.
• Experience with Excel; ASTA, Primavera, and Bluebeam a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish site safety expectations and maintain jobsite safety.
• Create look-ahead schedules.
• Monitor and assist in updating CPM.
• Knowledge and Experience in all Phases of Construction.
• Coordinate with project management.
• Review job cost and manage labor quantities.
• Review shop drawings and provide feedback.
• Recognize and initiate RFI's and change orders.
• Develop project means and methods.
• Oversee quality control.
• Manage subcontractors.
• Manage layout and field engineers.
• Hire, develop, and train craftsmen and foreman.
• Manage direct labor issues.
• Disinfection and Testing Experience on Plant work.
