Job summary

CMC Development & Construction is seeking a seasoned Construction Superintendent to lead field operations, enforce safety culture, and drive on-schedule, on-budget project delivery for complex commercial builds in Austin.

You will coordinate multiple trades, review drawings and specs, maintain look-ahead schedules, manage subcontractors, and serve as the on-site face of the firm with owners, inspectors, and partners, delivering quality results with accountability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of direct experience as a Construction Superintendent on commercial or general contracting projects.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification (current).
• Ability to read and interpret full construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with project management software such as Procore, Buildertrend or MS Project.
• BS or MS in Construction Management or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations, ensure safety, schedule adherence, and quality on site.
• Coordinate trade contractors, enforce safety policies, and manage look-ahead schedules.
• Prepare daily field reports and maintain on-site records.
• Represent CMC with owners, inspectors, and trade partners.
• Resolve on-site issues promptly and maintain project momentum.
