Job summary

Dawson Construction is seeking a Superintendent to lead on-site construction projects in Northwest Washington, covering Whatcom, Skagit, and Snohomish counties. The role requires a take-charge leader with strong customer focus, safety emphasis, and the ability to build and supervise crews.

5+ years in commercial construction is required, with an Associate degree or equivalent. Responsibilities include coordinating with design teams, subs, and owners, and ensuring safety, quality and productivity

Qualifications

• 5+ years in commercial construction, including experience with GC work.
• Associates degree in construction science/management or equivalent experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication with emphasis on customer service.
• Ability to read/interpret drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Input and track employee time to the correct phases.
• Update short-interval schedule for weekly progress meetings.
• Lead on-site supervision and coordinate with subs and owners.
• Schedule, recruit, and hire crew; conduct safety and orientation.
• Facilitate weekly subcontractor coordination meetings to minimize conflicts.
• Prepare schedules and supervise final punch list completion.
