Job summary

Independence Construction is seeking a diligent Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations on commercial projects in Ohio. You will lead field staffing, coordinate subcontractors, manage schedules, and ensure safety compliance. This role requires 5+ years in construction, including 3 years as an assistant superintendent, and proficiency with Procore and P6.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction mgmt.
• 3+ years as assistant superintendent on commercial projects.
• OSHA 30 certification or higher.
• First Aid/CPR within the past 24 months.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage field staffing and support.
• Manage day-to-day activities on the project site.
• Prepare, review, update and analyze project schedules with subcontractors, vendors and the project manager.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, vendors and laborers to meet schedules.
• Develop Site Specific Safety Plans with Safety Manager and review monthly.
• Inspect work in place for compliance with project specs.
