Job summary

CSD Environmental Services, Inc. is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on complex roadway and civil projects. You will manage daily activities, ensure safety, schedule, and budget adherence, and coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and suppliers.

The role requires a strong, hands-on presence on the jobsite, willingness to travel 25–75% and a proven track record in heavy highway construction with MoDOT/IDOT knowledge. CDL preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of heavy highway construction experience.
• 2–3 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
• Strong MoDOT/IDOT knowledge and heavy civil practices.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to travel 25–75% and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct all field operations for heavy highway construction projects
• Maintain a strong, hands-on presence in daily jobsite activities
• Coordinate daily activities with project managers, subcontractors, inspectors, and suppliers
• Ensure compliance with MoDOT/IDOT specifications, plans, and safety standards
• Enforce safety protocols and promote a positive safety culture
• Manage project schedules and adjust field operations to meet production goals
• Track and report manpower, equipment, and material needs
• Build relationships with inspectors, clients, and team members
• Provide leadership and mentorship to field personnel
• Communicate effectively with field and office staff to ensure project alignment
