Job summary

Graham Construction a 3G Company is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead commercial construction projects on site, directing trade partners and internal teams to meet schedule and budget. You will ensure safety compliance and high-quality build outcomes.

The role emphasizes building lasting client relationships, mentoring field staff, and leveraging industry tools like Procore and Bluebeam to plan and track progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in management or related field plus 10 years of commercial construction experience.
• Demonstrated ability to build commercial and healthcare construction projects.
• Use project management and scheduling software effectively.
• Great verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and build per construction drawings.
• Extremely detail-oriented; able to work nights and weekends as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with trade partners, field and office staff to complete projects on schedule.
• Manages the work of trade partners per contract.
• Ensures local, state, and national building codes are followed.
• Enforce Graham and OSHA safety requirements.
• Builds and maintains relationships with owners, architects, trade partners, and industry reps.
• Constructs buildings per plans and specs.
• Completes daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Manages and mentors carpenters, laborers, field engineers, and interns.
• Promotes growth of field employees’ development.
• Uses Procore, Bluebeam, MS Projects, Outlook, and Excel.
• Plans and manages schedule with a six-week look ahead.
• Attends pull sessions and preconstruction activities.
• Makes decisions in Graham’s best interest.
• Enforces Graham quality standards.
• Collaborates with project managers to manage budget, labor, and cost codes.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

A day in the life of a Senior Superintendent at 3G Companies

A superintendent will work on a construction site to lead trade partners, suppliers, and internal manpower to safely build clients’ desired spaces. This is a position that focuses on building and maintaining relationships internally and externally to complete construction projects on schedule and within budget.

JOB TITLE: Senior Superintendent

REPORTS TO: Field Operations Manager

PURPOSE: The purpose of this job is to solely lead any size commercial construction project(s) while always ensuring the project is completed on time and aligned with the budget.

What you’ll do:

• Collaborates with trade partners, field and office staff on a daily basis to complete construction projects on schedule
• Manages the work of trade partners per contract
• Ensures local, state, and national building codes are followed
• Enforce Graham and OSHA safety requirements
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, architects, trade partners, and industry representatives to secure repetitive business
• Construct buildings per plans and specs
• Complete all daily, weekly, and monthly reports
• Manage and mentor carpenters, laborers, field engineers, and interns
• Actively promotes growth of all field employees’ development
• Utilize Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Projects, Outlook, and Excel
• Plan and manage schedule with a six-week look ahead
• Attend and contribute to pull sessions and other preconstruction activities
• Make decisions and commitments regarding the best interest of Graham Construction
• Enforce Graham quality standards per Graham core processes
• Collaborate with project managers to manage budget, labor, and cost codes
• All other duties as assigned

What knowledge, skills, and abilities you’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in management or related degree + 10 years of commercial construction experience or equivalent commercial construction field experience
• Demonstrated ability to build commercial and healthcare construction projects
• Use project management and scheduling software effectively
• Great verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build per construction drawings
• Extremely detail-oriented
• Ability to work nights and weekends as necessary

Legal Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass post-offer employment testing
• Ability to pass a post-offer drug test
• Must be able to navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather.
• Must be able to work in a noisy environment
• Ability to take and pass OSHA 30 certification
• Ability to work within one of 3G Companies operational areas as assigned (Nebraska, Wisconsin, Iowa). Average travel time of 2-5 hours from Omaha, NE Metro.
