Job summary

Cianbro is hiring a Construction Manager to supervise the total construction effort for projects in Hartford, CT. You will plan, coordinate, and direct on-site functions, ensure safety and quality, and manage personnel and subcontractors to meet design, budget, and schedule targets.

The role requires a four-year engineering degree, at least eight years of construction management experience, and willingness to travel. Strong leadership and cost-control abilities are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
• Minimum of eight years construction management and/or craft supervision experience.
• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, and methods), craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations, engineering, cost control schedules and safety required.
• Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills essential.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and implement detailed solutions to complex technical problems.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must be willing to Travel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the total construction effort to ensure work aligns with design, budget, and schedule.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise on-site functions including safety, scheduling, engineering, material control and site staff.
• Supervise craft employees and/or other contractors as required by the contract.
• Authorize project personnel transactions, purchase requisitions, field design changes, etc.
• Provide technical assistance and recommend construction methods and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with project procedures, safety programs, and work rules; document violations and implement corrective actions.
• Interface with client representatives and other contractors as required.
• Collaborate with project supervision to meet production goals and quality specifications.
