Crossland Construction in Springfield, MO is seeking a Superintendent to lead on-site activities, maintain safety, and ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.

The role requires verifiable superintendent experience, a construction management degree (or equivalent), and a pre-employment screen. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage materials, and uphold quality per plans and specs, while mentoring team members.

Qualifications

• Verifiable work experience as a superintendent.
• Bachelor’s Degree in construction management or equivalent.
• Drug screen, physical and criminal background check required.
• Ability to manage schedules and stay on time and on budget.

Responsibilities

• Organizes, coordinates, and supervises the work of the assistant superintendent, field engineers, craft employees, and all subcontractors on construction projects.
• Determines work priorities and coordinates activities to keep the project efficient and on schedule.
• Oversees contracts terms and conditions.
• Allocates work among employees and subcontractors and ensures smooth workflow among trades.
• Introduces new trades and collaborates with management to align with plans and specs.
• Maintains a safe work environment and enforces safety policies.
• Liaises with owner and coordinates plans with design team and trades.
• Sourcing materials, ordering, and coordinating deliveries to match construction progress.
• Maintains project tools/inventory and daily reports; communicates updates to the office.
• Leads weekly coordination meetings and manages the overall project schedule.
• Ensures quality control per plans and specs, including pre-installation reviews and inspections.
• Manages project labor budget and productivity; oversees equipment and security.
• Keeps time records and codes labor to tasks; assists in project closeout and punch lists.
• Mentors subordinates and provides performance feedback.
