Job summary

Clark Construction is seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale commercial projects in Texas, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery. You will oversee self-performed and subcontracted work, aligning with contract documents and the project schedule.

You will develop and communicate project plans, manage site logistics, and mentor a high-performing team while building strong relationships with owners, architects, and trade partners.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related work experience.
• 7+ years of experience on large-scale commercial construction projects.
• Experience building high-rise residential, mixed-use, or higher education projects.
• 2+ years leading, developing, and motivating teams.
• In-depth knowledge of scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and personnel.
• OSHA safety knowledge and alignment to Clark Standards of Excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee timely, quality installation of contracted work for a project scope or portion.
• Implement safety and quality culture among Clark employees and trade contractors; conduct safety inspections.
• Create and manage a plan to sequence work, manage jobsite logistics, and track materials/personnel.
• Ensure high quality work consistent with project and company standards.
• Take initiative to deliver a project on schedule and on budget.
• Develop, update, and communicate the project schedule and milestones with stakeholders.
• Manage, mentor, and develop team members to build a high-functioning team.
• Cultivate strong relationships with project stakeholders.
• Maintain professionalism in meetings and interactions; understand owner contracts/subcontracts/vendor agreements.
• Participate in close-out activities including punch lists and training.
