Bowser-Morner Inc. is seeking a Senior Construction Services Field Technician in Toledo, OH to lead on-site quality control, perform materials testing and provide field observations.

The role involves testing soils, asphalt, concrete and other construction materials, with supervision from Field Supervisor and Assistant Manager. Valid certifications and experience in field testing are preferred.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required.
• ACI, NETTCP, NICET or ODOT certifications desired.
• Experience with weld inspection, OSHA/MSHA training and testing procedures is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Track and organize assigned work.
• Perform routine sampling, testing and observation.
• Adhere to quality practices in field services.
• Apply formulas to interpret test results.
• Prepare field service reports with accurate data.
• Ensure calibration and QC of equipment.
• Interpret project specifications, drawings and work instructions.
• Maintain positive customer relations.
• Mentor junior technicians.
• Support Field Supervisor and Manager as needed.

Senior Construction Services Field Technician

Full Time Reg Toledo, OH, US

Salary Range: $24.00 To $25.00 Hourly

Position Overview

The Senior Construction Services Field Technician leads on site quality control, materials testing and special inspection. They performs routine and non-routine testing and observation of construction materials and practices. Work may include the testing and examination of soil, asphalt, concrete, masonry, structural steel and other construction materials. Work may also include the field observation of soil placement and compaction, concrete structural dimensions and rebar placement, asphalt placement, and other construction practices. The Senior Construction Services Field Technician receives supervision and technical support from the Field Supervisor and the Assistant Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Ability to track and organize assigned work,
• Ability to perform routine sampling, testing, and observation,
• Be familiar with good field services practices and definition of Quality,
• Apply formulas for the interpretation and calculation of test results,
• Be proficient at basic computer skills and preparation of field service reports,
• Implement relevant quality control requirements including equipment calibration,
• Interpret project specifications, drawings, and work instructions,
• Handle of customer relations,
• Be able to mentor junior technicians
• Other duties as directed by the Field Supervisor and Assistant Manager.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or GED
• ACI, NETTCP, NICET or ODOT certifications are desired
• Experience with weld examination, OSHA/MSHA training, density gauge training, floor fatness testing, soil stabilization, asphalt field and lab testing, deep foundations, asphalt and concrete coring, rammed aggregate piers, are also desired.

Physical Ability

• Stand, walk, push, pull, twist, reach overhead, bending, crawling, climbing; lift minimum of 80 pounds

• Ability to monitor sounds for changes in machine function

Work Conditions

• Work exposes the employee to traffic hazards and the hazards of construction sites including dangers of moving heavy equipment, inclement weather conditions, and high noise levels.
