Job summary

DVJ Consulting Engineers seeks a senior construction scheduler to lead the planning, development, and control of program-wide project schedules in a dynamic environment in Los Angeles. You will coordinate with cost, risk, design, and construction teams to ensure alignment with contractual milestones and program objectives.

The role requires 15+ years in capital construction scheduling, expertise in Primavera and MS Office, and strong leadership and communication skills to drive schedule

Qualifications

• 15+ years of capital construction scheduling experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera and MS Office scheduling tools.
• Knowledge of EVMS or similar management systems.
• Strong cost engineering and scheduling best practices.

Responsibilities

• Support Program Controls leadership with planning, development, monitoring, and control of project schedules.
• Develop, maintain, and update baseline, master, and detailed project schedules.
• Coordinate with cost, estimating, risk management, program management, design, and construction teams.
• Monitor and document construction progress against baselines; validate progress through reviews and site visits.
• Review contractor schedule submittals for compliance with procedures and baselines.
• Perform schedule QA/QC, including critical paths, relationships, constraints, calendars, and loadings.
• Perform Time Impact Analysis (TIA) and delay analysis for critical activities.
• Identify and communicate schedule risks and mitigation strategies.
• Lead schedule-focused discussions in progress meetings and stakeholder sessions.
• Prepare project schedule performance reports with variance and forecast dates.
• Conduct regular QA/QC reviews of program schedules for integrity and alignment.
• Maintain scheduling standards, coding structures, and data integrity across projects.
• Collaborate to establish scheduling standards, templates, and tools across multiple projects.
• Develop presentations and lessons learned; contribute to internal and external publications.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, or Construction Management
