Job summary

HazTek Safety Management is seeking a Senior Construction Safety Manager in Clay, NY to lead field safety on a complex project. This hands-on role requires anticipating hazards, setting clear expectations, and partnering with project leadership and subcontractors to maintain a safe jobsite.

Preferred background includes semiconductor or data center construction and strong OSHA standards knowledge; relocation or per diem may be available for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Extensive construction safety experience with senior-level oversight.
• Experience coordinating safety across multiple trades.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards and hazard prevention practices.
• Proven ability to lead safety efforts in a demanding construction environment.
• Ability to influence field teams and engage senior project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety leadership across construction activities and multiple subcontractors.
• Partner with project managers, superintendents, and contractor leadership to integrate safety into planning and execution.
• Identify hazards with upcoming work and ensure effective controls before activities begin.
• Review job hazard analyses, pre-task plans, and contractor safety procedures for compliance.
• Conduct jobsite inspections and safety audits, communicate findings, and ensure corrective actions.
• Monitor subcontractor safety performance and address unsafe conditions promptly.
• Support incident investigations and implement preventive measures.
• Lead safety meetings and clearly communicate expectations to field personnel and project leadership.
• Evaluate safety performance trends and recommend improvements.
• Maintain safety documentation and promote accountability across the project.
