Job summary

Keel Infrastructure is seeking a seasoned Construction Safety Director to lead all safety aspects across HPC and AI data-center projects. You will oversee field safety, contractor oversight, and risk controls from groundbreaking through energization and turnover.

You will build safety standards, lead audits, investigate incidents, and collaborate with development, construction, and operations teams to enable on-time, safe project delivery across sites.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in construction EHS with leading safety on large, complex projects.
• Deep command of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and NFPA 70E safety standards.
• Proven success directing safety teams across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Set construction safety standards across the build program.
• Hold GCs, partners, and subcontractors to Keel safety standards.
• Direct risk assessment, job planning, and safety performance.
• Direct controls for high-risk work: heights, energized electrical, LOTO and more.
• Govern safe energization and commissioning per NFPA 70E.
• Lead site audits and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Vet and qualify contractors; track safety history and EMR.
• Lead incident investigations and share lessons across sites.
• Collaborate with development, construction, and operations teams.
• Build and mentor a team of project safety managers.
• Report safety metrics to VP, H&S and escalate risks.
