Job summary

Hoffman Construction seeks a Risk Engineer to act as an internal risk consultant across operations, risk, insurance, claims, and carrier partners. This in-person role is based in Seattle or Portland and focuses on identifying, assessing, and mitigating risk to improve project outcomes.

Responsibilities include supporting HPEPs, subcontractor risk, data analytics, and benchmarking with SDI. The position requires strong communication and analytical skills and a construction background.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in risk management, risk assessment, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical construction field.
• Deep familiarity with construction lifecycle, scheduling, subcontractor mgmt, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Partner with executives and leadership to evaluate emerging project risks.
• Provide risk input on HPEPs, procurement, staffing, schedule risk and contingency plans.
• Support SDI programs, carrier reviews, and risk reviews with data and analytics.
• Identify lessons learned and drive improvements across the company.
• Develop dashboards, KPIs, and executive reporting for risk management.
