Our client in Paarl is seeking a professional Construction Quantity Surveyor to manage all costs from early estimates to final figures. You will ensure projects stay within budget while maintaining high quality standards and profitability for clients.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management, minimum 5 years’ QS experience, proficiency with cost estimating software and Microsoft Office, and strong analytical, negotiation, and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in cost estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Professional registration with SACQSP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents.
• Analyze tender submissions and award contracts to successful bidders.
• Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase, managing variations and claims.
• Conduct site visits to measure work done and verify progress claims from contractors.
• Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to achieve cost savings.
• Prepare financial reports and forecasts for project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
