Job summary

Kokosing, a leading general contractor, seeks a seasoned Quality Control leader to plan, direct, and implement project QC and engineering support on large industrial and federal projects. You will lead program development, constructability reviews, and compliance with owner specs and codes.

Role emphasizes coordinating with operations, engineering, project management, and government representatives while guiding teams toward safe, efficient delivery and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of quality control experience on construction projects.
• Experience with self-perform concrete, structural, industrial, or heavy civil work.
• Federal project experience preferred (NAVFAC/USACE/DOE/GSA or similar).
• PE/ CCM/CQM-C or equivalent certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead constructability reviews during preconstruction and execution.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, calculations for contract conformance.
• Support operations on self-performed concrete and heavy civil work.
• Coordinate with engineers and government representatives to resolve issues.
• Participate in design-build reviews and value engineering efforts.
• Provide technical guidance on concrete construction, foundations, and earthwork.
• Develop and implement lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare QC procedures and review department-wide documents for compliance.
• Issue and implement the company QC program manual per contract requirements.
• Perform audits and drive corrective actions for noncompliance.
• Direct QC personnel and ensure compliance with company standards.
