Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead the QC program on a Hastings, Nebraska project. The role focuses on directing commissioning, inspections, and documentation to ensure timely delivery and conformance with specifications.

You will manage QC personnel, coordinate with owners and subcontractors, and drive closeout activities including manuals and training, while maintaining a quality-driven culture on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six (6) years of construction QC/QA experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven history of leading others and mentoring team members.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage commissioning process, including startup plan, schedule and functional testing.
• Oversee inspection during commissioning to meet customer specs and timelines.
• Lead project closeout activities: manuals, model turnover, and training.
• Serve as main point of contact with owner and on-site representative.
• Resolve commissioning issues and address customer concerns.
• Participate in factory witness testing as applicable.
• Manage and implement the QC Program and ensure proper testing documentation.
• Coordinate QC personnel and inspections, including pre-installation meetings and submittal reviews.
