Job summary

Alpha Corporation in Dulles, VA seeks a Senior Construction Project Scheduler with buildings and facilities experience. You will lead the integrated schedule from concept through closeout, coordinating with owners, designers, contractors, and trades to define work packages and milestones.

You will validate schedules, analyze performance, and present narratives and dashboards to leadership. Ideal candidates have 7+ years in vertical construction scheduling, PSP/PMI-SP preferred, and advanced

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 7+ years in scheduling/project controls on vertical construction (buildings/facilities).
• PSP preferred; PMI-SP and/or AACE credentials are a plus.
• Strong skills in Excel/PowerPoint; ability to produce dashboards and narratives.
• Experience with schedule risk, TIA, and claims support; DCMA awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of the integrated project schedule from concept through closeout.
• Facilitate schedule workshops with owners, designers, contractors, and trades.
• Build and validate cost- and resource-loaded schedules; support earned value.
• Maintain schedule integrity: logic, calendars, float, critical path.
• Publish periodic updates and look-ahead plans for leadership and clients.
• Lead schedule change control and assess RFIs, submittals, and delays.
• Perform what-if scenarios and risk assessments for sequencing and staffing.
• Coordinate schedules with third-party subcontractors and vendors.
• Support cost, progress, and schedule integration with reports.
• Serve as primary scheduling contact for clients; negotiate sequencing adjustments.
• Conduct DCMA-style schedule quality reviews and maintain templates.
