Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Project Manager in Phoenix, AZ to lead profitability and quality across administrative and field construction activities on multiple projects. You will guide teams, maintain stakeholder relationships, and ensure adherence to company standards and safety policies.

Responsibilities include scheduling, change orders, monthly reporting, value engineering, preconstruction support, and staff development.

Qualifications

• At least five years of commercial construction experience including PM responsibility.
• Experience leading, teaching, developing and mentoring others.
• Industry-related degree required; alternative education/experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage project schedules; address long lead items and update plans.
• Negotiate and execute change orders, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Complete monthly project status reports, owner billings, and risk assessments.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and ensure safety plans are followed.
• Assist with preconstruction efforts and manage the buy-out process.
• Detect constructability issues and ensure work aligns with contract terms and budgets.
• Support staff development and appropriate assignments.
