Job summary

Actalent is seeking an experienced estimator/leader in Nebraska to develop cost estimates and budgets for construction projects. You will guide estimating activities and ensure a smooth bid-to-build transition while coordinating with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to meet schedules and deliverables.

The role emphasizes detailed project planning, robust client relationships, and procurement management to support profitability and long-term growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency with MS Office, scheduling software, estimating tools, Bluebeam Revu, and industry practices.
• Minimum 15 years in construction, including at least 5 years in estimating and preconstruction.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and project management skills.
• Deep understanding of construction methods, delivery processes, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate project cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts.
• Lead estimating activities and ensure a seamless transition from project bidding through construction and completion.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to manage resources, schedules, and deliverables.
• Create and maintain detailed project plans while building and sustaining strong client relationships.
• Manage project documentation, databases, and procurement activities, including vendor and subcontractor negotiations.
