Job summary

Yale Cancer Center in New Haven seeks a Construction Project Manager to ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and budget. You will coordinate with external consultants and internal stakeholders, manage budgets, oversee risk, and ensure safety and quality standards across diverse academic projects.

The role requires leading the project team, maintaining schedules, and delivering GMP/LS bid reviews while ensuring sustainability standards are included in construction documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field or equivalent.
• Six or more years of construction management experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of contract documents, zoning/building codes and design coordination.
• Experience with CAD tools and MS Project scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Yale Planner during all project phases.
• Measure and manage project risk across the construction process.
• Act as primary client point-of-contact during procurement, construction and closeout.
• Monitor the quality of construction documents and align with budget.
• Manage the project master schedule to meet design phase expectations.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors and stakeholders.
• Lead budget estimation and review GMP/LS bids; resolve bid gaps.
• Ensure Yale Sustainability Standards are integrated into documents.
• Oversee procurement plans, risk workshops, and safety compliance.
