Step into a tight‑knit, family‑oriented team where your leadership will drive impactful commercial construction while enjoying a culture that truly values work‑life balance, mentorship, and long‑term growth!

Govig – Your #1 full‑service recruiting firm and your access to the best opportunities available, is seeking a SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER for a local commercial General Contractor located in Scottsdale, AZ.

About the Company. With roots dating back to 2008, our client is a 100% Native American‑owned general contractor built on a foundation of quality craftsmanship and exceptional client relationships. As a debt‑free organization, our client has established itself as a preferred vendor for tribal communities while maintaining a tight‑knit, family‑oriented workplace. The company fosters an energetic environment where work‑life balance and loyalty are core values that drive both project excellence and long‑term career growth.

About the Position. We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with a proven track record managing mid to large‑scale ground‑up commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, financial control, and client relationship skills to ensure successful delivery of projects on time, on budget, and with the highest level of quality and safety. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a family‑oriented culture, where people value teamwork, integrity, and work‑life balance as much as delivering outstanding results. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Lead all aspects of project delivery for commercial projects from $25 to $75 million, including but not limited to planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
  • Run weekly OAC meetings.
  • Manage project teams including Assistant Project Managers, Superintendents, and subcontractors.
  • Oversee contract administration, change management, and cost reporting.
  • Maintain and foster strong relationships with clients, design teams, and trade partners.
  • Provide input during preconstruction on budgets, schedules, constructability, and logistics.
  • Ensure strict compliance with company safety standards and quality control processes.
  • Forecast and manage project financials including cost‑to‑complete and cash flow.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff and foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and trust.

What you need. To be a hero in this role, the Senior Project Manager will have:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial construction, including 7+ years as a Project Manager.
  • Proficient in Geotech analysis.
  • Proficient in AIA Billing.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects between $10M and $75M in value.
  • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, contracts (AIA, GMP, CMAR), and project scheduling (P6, MS Project).

Preferred:

  • Experience with public and private sector projects such as mixed‑use, administrative, senior center, and cultural.
  • Experience with Government Municipalities or Native American Tribal work.
  • LEED accreditation or similar sustainability credentials.
  • OSHA 30‑hour certification.
  • Experience with design‑build and CM‑at‑Risk delivery.
  • Experience with managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) through MEP subcontractors.
