We are seeking a talented Senior Construction Project Manager to join our San Diego team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to Hughes Marino's growth and work directly with top executives of industry-leading clients, providing critical project management services in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

This position is based in San Diego but requires travel to our Orange County office or client sites in Orange County approximately 2-3 days per week. Regular travel to project sites is also expected.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Manage all aspects of multiple concurrent commercial construction projects from start to finish.
2. Coordinate with clients and brokers on new project requirements.
3. Assist in reviewing leases and work letters related to construction.
4. Oversee daily operations of ongoing complex projects.
5. Supervise up to two internal project managers or engineers.
6. Develop project budgets and schedules for various projects.
7. Monitor project progress against budgets, timelines, and goals.
8. Assemble and coordinate project teams, including design teams, general contractors, vendors, and others.
9. Manage change orders, invoicing, tenant improvement allowances, and project close-out processes.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience leading new construction and tenant improvement projects.
• Experience with Design-Build projects is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage internal and external teams.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project.
• Self-motivated with excellent multitasking and deadline management skills.
• Effective time management and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Strong relationship-building skills with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications:

• Local candidates based in San Diego preferred.
• Combination of in-office and onsite work required.
• 5-10 years of experience in the construction industry, with roles as Construction or Senior Project Manager.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to travel as needed to support projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Project.
