Striv Designs is searching for an experienced and skilled Construction Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of hotel or hospitality related construction projects from inception to completion. Key responsibilities include managing timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring adherence to building codes and safety regulations, and coordinating with architects, interior designers, contractors, and stakeholders. The role involves scheduling, risk management, quality control, and ensuring the project is completed on time and within budget while meeting the hotel brand's standards and specifications. Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in a related field (optional, but advantageous).
- 5+ years of experience in construction project management, preferably within the hotel or hospitality industry.
- Proven experience managing large-scale commercial projects from start to finish.
- Experience with budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and contract management. Driver's License (Required)
Certifications (Preferred but not always required):
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, PlanGrid).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Required)
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and other construction documents
- Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards.
- Familiarity with cost estimation and scheduling tools like MS Project or Primavera.

- Leadership and team management skills to supervise diverse teams.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities for liaising with clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills for handling construction challenges.
- Time management and the ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control and safety.
Essential Job Functions:
A Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire construction process for hotel projects. Key duties include:
- Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones to ensure timely project completion.
- Budget Management: Create, monitor, and manage project budgets, ensuring costs remain within approved limits.
- Coordination with Stakeholders: Liaise with hotel owners, architects, interior designers, engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals.
- Procurement Management: Oversee the sourcing and purchasing of materials, equipment, and services needed for construction.
- Team Supervision: Lead and supervise construction teams, subcontractors, and other personnel to ensure quality workmanship.
- Compliance with Regulations: Ensure that all work adheres to building codes, safety standards, environmental regulations, and hotel brand guidelines.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks to project timelines, costs, and quality.
- Quality Control: Inspect and review work throughout the project to ensure that quality standards and specifications are met.
- Problem Solving: Resolve any construction issues or delays that arise during the project.
- Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates to hotel ownership, hotel brand, and stakeholders on the project's progress, including timelines, budgets, and any changes.
- Contract Management: Manage contracts with contractors, suppliers, and vendors, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
This role demands strong leadership, multitasking, and a keen eye for detail to deliver successful hotel construction projects.
