This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Construction Project Manager for our New York, New York office. Be involved in projects with our PMCM Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

Senior Construction Manager to lead the Project Management Consultants (PMC) team in overseeing major rail transportation infrastructure projects delivered under a design-build model. Performs construction management oversight to ensure full compliance with safety, quality, cost, and schedule commitments. Prepares technical reports, reviews design for constructability and future operations/maintenance, monitors permits for compliance, participates in stakeholder meetings, and enforces compliance with QA/QC and safety plans.

Your Impact

• Leading construction management and inspection team, including training, performance review, and staff management.
• Enforcing safety compliance, including PPE and equipment use.
• Communicating contractor schedules and verifying on-site duties.
• Performing site observations, inspections, and materials testing to ensure work meets contract requirements.
• Assessing compliance of inspections and testing.
• Documenting issues, providing solutions, and obtaining approvals for non-compliant work.
• Addressing project issues related to quality, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Leading weekly staff meetings and monthly inspector meetings.
• Preparing weekly and monthly reports, reviewing and approving daily reports.
• Approving timesheets, conducting QA audits, and approving invoices.
• Updating staffing plans and organizational charts monthly.
• Reporting to the Program Director.
• Making responsible and ethical decisions regarding company resources and conduct, adhering to WSP’s policies.
• Upholding workplace safety and compliance with health, safety, and harassment policies.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of relevant transportation infrastructure construction experience in a senior role.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field, or equivalent.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or registered architect preferred.
• OSHA 30-hour training certificate.

Preferred Qualifications

• PE License.

Compensation

Expected Salary: $131,100 - $322,700. WSP reserves the right to pay more or less based on experience and location.
