Job summary

The Senior Project Manager will lead complex commercial and industrial construction projects in the Dayton area, partnering with a respected general contractor to deliver high-quality results on time and on budget.

Candidates should demonstrate strategic thinking, strong leadership, and a proven track record in coordinating design teams, subcontractors, and field staff while ensuring compliance with safety standards and client expectations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in diverse commercial and industrial construction project management in a general contractor environment.
  • Proven success managing large-scale projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, budgeting, and trade coordination.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office.
  • OSHA certification and additional training a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project teams through planning, execution, and completion
  • Develop scopes of work and manage procurement of subcontractors and materials
  • Create and maintain project schedules, budgets, and milestone tracking
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and client expectations
  • Facilitate coordination between design professionals, consultants, and field teams
  • Review and approve invoices, change orders, and cost tracking reports
  • Conduct regular project meetings with owners, architects, and subcontractors
  • Maintain thorough project documentation and reporting
  • Support business development and client relationship management
  • Collaborate with Superintendents to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality delivery

Description

As a Senior Project Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing all phases of construction projects, from preconstruction through closeout. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead project teams through planning, execution, and completion
  • Develop scopes of work and manage procurement of subcontractors and materials
  • Create and maintain project schedules, budgets, and milestone tracking
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and client expectations
  • Facilitate coordination between design professionals, consultants, and field teams
  • Review and approve invoices, change orders, and cost tracking reports
  • Conduct regular project meetings with owners, architects, and subcontractors

Profile

A successful Senior Project Manager should have:
