Job summary

PULLMAN, based in Pittsburgh, is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex restoration and repair projects. You will manage self-performed work, contracts, schedules, and P&L while coordinating with field teams and estimating staff.

The role requires 5–12 years in commercial construction/restoration, experience with $1M–$5M contracts, and a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer relations. Travel 20–30% is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management and/or Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • 5-12 years of experience in commercial construction and/or restoration.
  • Experience managing projects $1M–$5M in contract value.
  • Experience with structural concrete repair, waterproofing, façade repair or historic restoration.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and project forecasting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Manage self-performed complex repair and restoration projects.
  • Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions with internal teams.
  • Develop and manage project schedules with field leadership.
  • Maintain profit & loss and other project financials.
  • Provide leadership to project teams and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with Estimators and Sales to review bids and proposals.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Model a strong safety and quality control culture on all projects.

As a Project Manager for PULLMAN, you will be responsible for managing complex construction projects that make our nation’s structures stronger and last longer.The successful candidate will be also be responsible for:Managing self-performed complex repair and restoration projectsPreparing contracts and negotiating revisions while working with internal contracts teams as neededDeveloping and managing schedules in collaboration with field leadershipMaintaining profit & loss responsibility as well as other project financials including projections, etcProviding strong leadership and supervision to project teams (including other Project Managers, Field Managers, Project Engineers, and field crews) and subcontractorsWorking closely with in-house Estimators and Sales teams to assist in reviewing bids and developing proposalsDeveloping and maintaining strong customer relationshipsDemonstrating dedication to safety and quality control on all projectsCandidates who meet the following criteria may be considered for this exciting position:Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil / Structural Engineering or related field of study5-12 years of relevant experience within the Commercial construction and / or restoration industryDemonstrated capability to successfully manage construction projects in the range of $1 Million - $5 Million in contract valuePrevious experience managing projects that include structural concrete repair, waterproofing, façade repair and / or historic restorationStrong knowledge of computer based programs including Microsoft Office as well as project management and forecasting toolsStrong leadership skills to effectively train and mentor othersTravel expectation 20-30%Our ideal candidate is an innovative but decisive individual who can work effectively in a highly collaborative, team-based environment; has the ability to set goals and expectations and hold others accountable; can encourage and mentor others; is approachable, empathetic and outgoing; can quickly gain trust and respect; and is able to establish and maintain relationships.PULLMAN is proud of a company culture that promotes 24/7 safety and quality.
