Job summary

Gilbane Building Company is seeking a Senior Project Manager for nationwide opportunities. The role sits on-site at various locations across the country with relocation and travel as needed.

You will lead project direction, schedule, safety, and financial outcomes on large or complex construction projects, mentoring teams and coordinating with owners, design teams, and subcontractors. You will oversee project safety plans, controls, quality, and closeout, while developing subcontracting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 8-12 years of experience in construction management.
• Experience in Health Care, Advanced Manufacturing Science and Technology, Life Science, K-12, Higher Education preferred.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong technical and communication skills; ability to work in a team; MS Office knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develops the project safety plan with corporate safety and provides jobsite leadership.
• Develops the project controls and procedures to manage complex project requirements; takes ownership to mitigate high-risk items.
• Manages project financial forecast, notice provisions, and billings to meet contract requirements.
• Creates and manages a project-specific quality plan aligned with the Owner contract and documents.
• Creates and manages a closeout plan in alignment with contract documents and executes it.
• Provides leadership in motivating the project team and maintains a positive work environment.
