Job summary

Clark Construction Group in Nashville seeks a Senior Superintendent to lead field operations on complex projects. You will oversee self-performed and contractor work, uphold safety, quality, and schedule adherence, and mentor the project team.

You will develop sequencing plans, coordinate with stakeholders, and manage costs to deliver projects on time and within budget. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience on large-scale commercial construction projects.
• 4+ years leading, developing, and motivating teams.
• Experience building high-rise residential, mixed-use, or higher education projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and personnel.
• Demonstrated experience leading field operations and communicating plans effectively.
• Advanced knowledge of safety and building regulations (OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the timely and quality installation of contracted work for a project or scope.
• Implement a culture of safety and quality among Clark employees and trade contractors and conduct safety inspections.
• Create and manage a plan to sequence work, manage jobsite logistics, and track materials and personnel.
• Ensure high quality of work consistent with project and company standards.
• Deliver a project on schedule and on budget with initiative and accountability.
• Develop, update, and communicate the project schedule with stakeholders.
• Lead multi-disciplinary meetings to gain buy-in on the project schedule.
• Mentor and develop team members to build a high-functioning team.
• Cultivate relationships with all project stakeholders and maintain professionalism in meetings.
• Possess working knowledge of owner contracts, subcontracts, and vendor agreements.
• Participate in developing staff charts, general conditions, and KPI tracking.
• Participate in close-out activities including punch lists and building operations training.
• Demonstrate advanced problem-solving to overcome obstacles and conflicts.
• Identify long-term risks and evolve the project plan to address issues.
• Create a project site environment that inspires peak performance.
