Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Construction Project Engineer to support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on-site at Pituffik Space Base in Greenland.

The role requires over 10 years of experience as a construction project inspector on large DoD projects, with expertise in civil, mechanical, or electrical disciplines. You will review plans, supervise field inspections, prepare reports, and coordinate with clients and contractors while ensuring safety and compliance with USACE standards.

Qualifications

• HS + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Candidates must pass a substance abuse test

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of contractor compliance with contract requirements and standards per USACE 3-Phase inspection program.
• Maintain comprehensive field records including daily reports, measurements, and observations.
• Review submittals and development plans for conformity to USACE standards.
• Document construction observations and issue discrepancy notices for non-compliant items.
• Attend progress meetings and contractor reviews to track project status.
• Perform infrastructure walkthroughs and develop punch lists as required.
• Provide construction photographs documenting progress and problem areas.
• Ensure safety regulations and building codes compliance during construction of utility equipment.
