Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Construction Project Engineer to support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on-site at Pituffik Space Base in Greenland. This role requires 10+ years as a construction project inspector on large DoD projects, with strong civil, mechanical, or electrical construction knowledge.

Field inspection, reporting, and client coordination are core responsibilities. The position emphasizes adherence to USACE standards, safety requirements (EM 385-1), and timely documentation.

Qualifications

• HS + 10 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education.
• Candidates must pass a substance abuse test.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of contractor compliance with contract requirements and standards (USACE 3-Phase inspection).
• Maintain comprehensive field records including daily reports and measurements.
• Review plans/submittals for conformity to USACE standards and specs.
• Document construction observations and issue discrepancy notices.
• Attend construction progress meetings and contractor weekly project meetings.
• Perform infrastructure walkthroughs and develop punch lists.
• Provide construction photographs documenting progress and problem areas.
• Ensure safety regulations and building codes compliance during construction.
