Vanir Construction Management, Inc. is seeking a detailed Construction Project Accountant to support a large state-funded project. You will oversee job cost tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure alignment with funding requirements.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in construction accounting, proficiency with Primavera P6, Procore, and Autodesk, and strong Excel skills for analyses and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of experience in construction or project accounting.
• Experience with government compliance, audits, and reporting is highly preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage all project-related accounting functions, including job cost tracking, invoicing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Monitor and analyze project costs to ensure alignment with budgets and funding requirements.
• Track, analyze, and validate change orders or amendments for accurate cost capture.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, variance analyses, and cash flow projections for stakeholders.
• Process and track subcontractor payments, invoices, and change orders.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, contract requirements, and audit standards.
