Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of construction accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP schedules, and project-based accounting.
• Hands-on experience with revenue recognition and project billing.
• Experience with sales and use tax compliance.
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Sage, Viewpoint, or similar).
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage project setup in the accounting system with accurate cost structures.
• Perform ongoing job costing and cost tracking, analyze variances.
• Oversee project billing, including progress billing, T&M, and change orders.
• Support GAAP/ASC 606 revenue recognition processes.
• Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts for projects.
• Monitor project risks and mitigate financial exposure.
• Review and reconcile project budgets vs. actuals.
• Collaborate with project managers on financial performance and reporting.
• Assist in sales and use tax filings and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support audits and provide project financial documentation.
• Drive process improvements and maintain internal controls.
