Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Special Inspector to join the Miami, FL Building & Construction team. The role involves field inspections and construction materials testing to ensure conformance with plans and specifications, with daily reports and data sheets required.

You will read plans, operate testing equipment, calibrate instruments, and communicate results to clients. A minimum of 5+ years in inspection or materials testing is expected, with relevant certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of special inspection and/or construction materials testing experience required.
• Basic math, calculator and computer skills.
• Ability to read and understand work plans; strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections and testing per plans and specs.
• Operate testing equipment and document data with reports.
• Read drawings and specifications and observe site activities.
• Maintain calibration of equipment and detailed test records.
• Communicate findings with clients and project teams.
