Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) is seeking a Construction Manager in El Paso, TX to lead construction projects, supervise personnel and coordinate resources. The role focuses on safety, quality, and client relations on transportation facilities projects.

You will manage documentation, inspections, testing plans, and ensure compliance with project specs. The ideal candidate has 20+ years in construction management, a valid driver’s license, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 20 years of experience in Construction Management or Inspection of transportation facilities.
• Proven Project and Client Management skills.
• H.S. Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company MVR standards.
• Construction Technology or similar degree preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication experience.
• License as a P.E. or ability to obtain within six months may be required depending on jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction project and operations, including supervision of personnel and resources.
• Develop and maintain client relations and assist in marketing plans.
• Materials testing and inspection planning and coordination.
• Thorough project documentation and reporting.
• Construction engineering, inspection, observation and verification.
• Traffic control compliance reviews.
• Review, monitor and evaluate project documentation.
• Identify candidates, assist in hiring process and manage staff.
• Participate in proposals and interviews.
• Attend conferences as company representative.
